Mission Statement

Our mission is to welcome students to the UNM community and introduce them to their role in the creation of new knowledge. We will do this by sharing resources and strategies that encourage students to reach ambitious goals and exceed their own expectations.

Mission in Action!

In the summer of 2023, the New Student Orientation Program provided orientation to 3,600+ incoming first-year students, 2,000+ incoming transfer and non-traditional students, and 1,000+ family members.

We are currently gearing up for another great year of helping new students and family members join the UNM community!
