New Student Orientation is an efficient way to get ready for UNM. You will receive information on student services and learn about campus life.
Spring Orientation full-day programs are sessions that any incoming student can attend to learn a lot about UNM plus take care of advisement, registration and other business.
TNT Express is a shorter two-hour session just for transfer and non-traditional students. If you would prefer to come back to the campus for several short visits to take care of advisement, registration and other tasks rather than spend one entire day at orientation, TNT Express is for you.
Freshman Students
If you’re just starting your college career, or have 26 or fewer transfer credits, the one-day Spring orientation is for you.
TNT Students (transfer and non-traditional)
If you are a transfer student with 27+ credits, or a non-traditional student--older, discharged from the military, or juggling multiple roles like studies, work and parenting, you have choices. You can either attend a one-day Spring orientation session or take part in TNT Express, the two-hour alternative.
Other options
The orientation office understands that committing to an on-campus orientation may be difficult if you have a lot of responsibilities. Please contact us at (505) 277-3361 if you cannot attend a program because you can’t get off work, don’t have a baby-sitter, or have some other extenuating circumstance.
Other Student Types
If you have attended UNM before, are a UNM branch student, UNM employee, or second degree-seeking student, please contact us at (505) 277-3361 for alternative orientation options.
