Depending on the program type that you attend, you will be registering for classes either during or right after your orientation. Before you can register, you need to talk to your advisor. Your advisor will help you figure out which classes to take so that you will be on the right path to graduation.
Academic advisement is included in TNT Programs A-D, but not at TNT Express programs. Students who attend a TNT Express must seek academic advisement on their own. Seeking academic advisement before your orientation program will always shorten the length of your orientation program, but is not required.
Find your advisement center by determining your major and then the college that houses that major. Note that some colleges will not meet with you until you have been accepted into that college. All students can use the University Advisement Center as a starting point for academic advisement.
UNM Career Services provides a large number of resources to help students identify potential careers and majors. All incoming students are welcome and encouraged to utilize their services during the summer. Learn more by visiting their website or contacting them at 505-277-2531.
