The Family Connection is an optional, two-day program for parents and family members of incoming freshmen that runs concurrent to Lobo Orientation.

| 9:30-12:00 pm | Workshops on Financial Aid, Billing/Payment, Student Health, and Campus Safety. |

| 1:00-4:45 pm | Workshops on New Student Issues, Living on Campus, Lobo Cash/Lobo Card, Financial Consumer Advice, and Freshmen Academic Choices |

| 7:45 am | Optional Tour of La Posada Dining Hall and select Residence Halls. |
| 9:15-11:30 am | Workshops on Redefining Relationships, Faculty Perspectives, Student Activities, and a Q&A session |
| 11:30-12:00 pm | Explore UNM with visits to the UNM Bookstore, Student Services Center (Financial Aid, Scholarship, Bursar, Records, the Dean of Students Office) and Popejoy Center for the Arts. |
| 12:30-1:30 pm | Lobo Lunch (provided) |
| 1:30-5:00 pm | Finish your individual business around campus |
| 2:00 pm | Optional workshops (see Lobo Orientation schedule for details) |
