Family members and other guests attending the Family Connection program at UNM will be taking part in a two-day program. We do not provide on campus overnight housing for Family Connection Participants. If you live out of town and need overnight accommodations, you are encouraged to stay at our partner hotel, MCM Eleganté Hotel (below) where the New Student Orientation Program has arranged special rates.

The MCM Eleganté is located in the heart of Albuquerque, at the junction of I-25 AND I-40. It is minutes from many local attractions and downtown Albuquerque. Areas of interest within 10 minutes of the hotel include: the Albuquerque Isotopes Baseball Stadium, the University of New Mexico, historic Old Town, Kirtland Air Force Base, and the New Mexico State Fair Grounds.
You can also utilize their complimentary shuttle to shop at Coronado Mall and Winrock Mall located only 3 miles from the hotel. Just north of the hotel is the Century Rio 24 movie theater, Cliff's Amusement Park and several restaurants.
Westbound I-40 Driving west on I-40 take exit 159-D University Blvd. At first light on University, turn right. Follow University to the next intersection University/ Menaul. Make a right turn until you see the hotel on the right-hand side.
Eastbound I-40 Driving east on I-40, take exit 160 toward Carlisle Blvd. Make a left on Carlisle and then left on Menaul. The hotel will be on your left-hand side just a few blocks down on the corner of Menaul and University.
Southbound 1-25 Driving south on I-25 take exit 227 Comanche, Candelaria, Menaul. Drive straight from exit until intersecting with Menaul. At Menaul take a left-hand turn until you see the hotel on the right-hand side just past the intersection of Menaul and University.
Northbound I – 25 Driving north on I-25 take exit 225 Lomas. Drive north to Menaul Blvd and make a right-hand turn. Watch for the hotel on the right-hand side, just past the intersection of Menaul and University.
