Dual Credit Home

Welcome to UNM! We’re happy to see you beginning your college education while in high school. You are considered a dual enrollment student if you are a high school student taking university courses for credit which are not offered at your school.

Admission to the Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment program provides you with non-degree status and is not considered early admission to the university. You will need certification from the high school as well as proof of parental consent prior to participation.

Since you’re still in high school, we have created a special Dual Credit Orientation program just for you. Don’t wait, you must complete orientation before you can register for UNM courses.

By completing orientation, you will:

  • Find out about UNM services and resources
  • Feel prepared to begin classes at the University
  • Get valuable information about many key departments

Dual Credit Orientation is a two-hour program designed especially for dual credit students attending the main campus.  Orientation is mandatory for all dual credit students.  If you are taking classes at a branch campus, contact our office at (505) 277-3361 for information about distance orientation options.
