Why is Dual Credit Orientation mandatory?

Dual Credit Orientation is mandatory as part of the Dual Credit program. Attending orientation helps you get ready to take classes at a much larger campus, and helps make you aware of campus resources available to you. Attending Dual Credit Orientation is free of charge for Dual Credit students.

How do I register for Dual Credit Orientation?

Fill out the online reservation form by clicking Reserve Your Spot. If you do not have access to the Internet, you may contact our office for an alternate form.

What is the Cancellation/Rescheduling policy for Dual Credit Orientation?

If you must change your plans, call us immediately at 505-277-3361. We must receive a phone call or email (nso@unm.edu) for changes/cancellations by 3 business days prior to the start of your orientation session.

What do I need to bring with me to orientation?
  • NetID and password
  • UNM ID number (9-digit number—sometimes referred to as Banner ID)
  • Valid Photo ID (such as a driver’s license)
  • Backpack to carry materials
  • Comfortable clothes and walking shoes
  • A sweater or light jacket--you will be in air-conditioned buildings

Where do I park for Dual Credit Orientation?

Hourly visitor parking is available in the Cornell and Yale Parking Structures on Redondo. Rates are $1.75 per hour.

There are also parking meters at various locations around campus.  Please see the UNM Parking & Transportation Map for specific meter and paid-lot locations.

Another alternative is to purchase a one-day visitor permit from Parking and Transportation.
