Sometimes it is hard to figure out the way a large university works. The Dean of Students Office staff can help you with new student orientation and throughout your academic career with things like interpreting policies and overcoming difficulties.

Services
The Dean of Students Office provides a wide array of services. Here are a few examples:

• Answer questions about new student orientation.
• Explain the implications of dropping courses or withdrawing from a semester.
• Notify your instructor(s) if you need to be absent for several days due to illness or emergency.
• Provide you with short-term emergency loans.
